Hypothesis - The hypothesis is an educated guess for the problem that you're trying to solve. Data gathering - Data gathering is gathering information or researching information to help solve a scientific problem. Multiple trials - This means that you must take multiple tests in order to solve a problem and get the correct answer for your problem. Variance - The variance is how far a specific number is from the mean, or the average number, of a set of data.
Average - When you add a few numbers, and divide that by the amount of numbers you added up, you get the average, or the mean, of that set of data. Median - When you order a set of data in numerical order, the median appears right in the middle. Mode - In a set of data, this is the number that appears the most in your data. Histogram - A histogram is a bar graph that is separated at intervals, like 5's or 10's. Pie chart - A pie chart is a circular chart that displays the numbers in your data as percentages, as if they were slices of pie. Inference - An inference is a conclusion or answer based on reasoning and data.
